Mr. Kris Peng serves as President at UMC Capital. He also currently serves on the boards of Crystalwise Technology Inc., TXC Corporation, Simplo Technology and Top Point Technology Co., Ltd. He previously served on the boards of Unimicron, ITE Tech and Uwiz. Prior to joining UMC Capital, he worked from 2015 to 2017 at HC Investment as General Manager and 2007 to 2015 at Crystalwise. as President. During his term as President of Crystalwise he led the successful IPO and then merged with Sino Sapphire, a subsidiary of Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. Kris holds a BS from National Central University, an MS from University of Pittsburgh and a PhD from National Chiao Tung University.

Mr. James Yen serves as a Vice President at UMC Capital. He joined the firm in 2013 and focuses on investments in biotech and healthcare industries. Prior to joining UMC Capital, he worked at UniMed Investment, a Runtex Group-backed venture capital company, and was responsible for direct investment on new drug development and medical device companies. Prior to UniMed Investment, he was a director at China Development Industrial Bank (CDIB).

James holds a Master in Biological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University and an EMBA from National Tsing Hua University.

Mr. Alex Shen is a Vice President at UMC Capital. He focuses on investments in semiconductors design, system design and SW industries. Prior to joining UMC Capital, he worked at MediaTek Inc. and was responsible for several system applications development of products, like DVD-ROM, DVD player, BD player, DSC and mobile phone.

Alex holds a BS and an MS in Automatic Control from National Central University and an MS of Management of Technology from National Chiao Tung University.

Ms. Christie Hung is a Vice President at UMC Capital. Prior to UMC Capital she was Vice President at H&Q Asia Pacific and has over 20 years experience in Venture Capital.

Christie holds MBA from University of Maryland at College Park.

Mr. Grad Liu is a Vice President at UMC Capital. He joined the firm in 2018 and focuses on investments in semiconductors, information and communications technology (ICT) and high-tech technology industries in Taiwan. Prior to joining UMC Capital, he worked at AsusTek Computer Inc., a worldwide top-three consumer and personal computer brand company, and was responsible for leading a team in strategic investment, technology sourcing and business development (open innovation). He also was a Senior Director at EY M&A advisory assisting for strategic and tactical advices for corporates and financial sponsors.

Grad holds a Bachelor's degree of Business Mathematics, Soochow University and a Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University. He has a High Technology Industrial Analyst Certificate and is Certified in Production and Inventory Management.

Mr. Steve Pan serves as a Director at UMC Capital. Prior to joining UMC Capital he was a Manager at Hotung International, a leading local Taiwanese VC firm listed on the SGX. He was also a Process Integration Engineer at SSMC, the JV of TSMC & NXP, in charge of security products such as credit card/passport related chips. He currently serves on the board of Fortemedia, Glympse & DCard, he is also a board observer of Atscale and Trilliant.

Steve holds a BEng. in Electronics Engineering from Uni. of Southampton, a MSc. International Business from Warwick Business School and holds a Certificate from HEC Paris and AXA Investment Managers in Investment Management.

Prior to joining UMC Capital, Ms. Michelle Chen was a manager at CDIB Capital Management; and was responsible for investing technolgied based companies.

Mr. Jason Tsai is an assistant manager at UMC Capital, he joined the firm in 2020. Prior to join in UMC Capital, he was interned in SBI& Capital 22 venture capital fund. Jason holds a Master degree in Technoprenuership and Innovation from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor degree in Applied Japanese from Ming Chuan University.

Ms. Winnie Chen is specializing in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management. Prior to joining UMC Capital in 2007, Ms. Chen worked in Finance Department of UMC, held Chief of Finance position of Investee companies within UMC Group. Ms. Chen has over 20 years experience in investment and finance management.

Mr. Dj Lung specializes in post management of portfolio companies. He has over 20 years experience in the Tech industry.

Ms. Rachel Liu serves as a Senior Director of Investment at UMC Capital since 2010. Rachel is in charge of Investment Valuation and Analysis and Portfolio Management. Prior to UMC Capital, Ms. Liu held Chief of Finance position at an IC Design company and had over 10 years financing/accounting management experience in US & TW listed companies and start-ups.

Rachel holds a Master degree in Institute of Finance, National Chiao Tung University.

Ms. Anita Chao serves as a Senior Director of Investment at UMC Capital and is responsible for financial analysis and investment management. She joined UMC Capital in 2004 from UMC where she served as a Finance manager. Prior to UMC, Anita was a Relationship Manager at Citibank Taipei and focused on Taiwan local corporate's banking and credit services.

Anita holds an MBA from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from National Chengchi University.

Ms. Mei Ching Wu joined UMC Capital in 2005. She is in Director position of Investment Management at UMC Capital , and is responsible for Investment Valuation and Analysis and Portfolio Management. Prior to joining UMC Capital, she previously worked at LCE, KPMG and Wistron and had profound experience in financing/accounting.

Mei Ching holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Fu Jen University.

Ms. Jeanne Kuo is well versed with the typical legal structure of VC investment and constantly handles the legal documents of UMC Capital's investments. Prior to joining UMC Capital, Jeanne worked in law firms with international and domestic clients.

Jeanne has passed the bar exams of Taiwan and New York State.

Ms. Annie Hsieh is an assistant manager at UMC Capital. Prior to joining UMC Capital, she was an HR generalist at MTK Pte. Ltd. Annie holds a Master degree in International Business from University of Birmingham.

Ms. Ting Huan Chiang joined UMC in 2014 and servered as a human resource specialist. She's currently working as an Executive Assistant at UMC Capital.

Ting Huan holds a Bachelor's degree in financial law from Fu Jen Catholic University.

Mr. Benjamin Lai joined UMC Capital in 2004 as an information technology specialist. Prior to that, he worked as an engineer in UMC's IT Department, accumulating 19 years of experience within these two organizations.

Ms. Jane Tien is the Chief Financial Officer of UMC Capital and is responsible for the accounting and finance function of the firm. Jane has extensive experience in Finance and Accounting over 25 years. Prior to joining UMC Capital, she had worked for UMC for over 20 years and was a Division Director of Finance Division in which she focused on cash management, foreign exchange risk management and customer credit risk management of the UMC Group.

Jane holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Ms. Shun Wen joined UMC Capital in 2014 and focuses on fund accounting, prior to joining UMC Capital she worked for Ernst & Young and UMC as a professional accountant. She was key in helping UMC in adopting International Financial Reporting Standards and was responsible in investment accounting, research and evaluating risk profiles.

Shun Wen holds a Master degree in Accounting from University of Hawaii and is a licensed CPA in both Taiwan & US.

Ms. Cindy Cheng joined UMC Capital in 2016 and focuses on fund accounting. Prior to joining UMC Capital, she worked at Ernst & Young in the Assurance team.

Cindy holds a Bachlor's degree in Accounting from Soochow University.

Ms. Eva Hu is mainly in charge of cash management. She joined UMC Capital in 2008. Prior to joining UMC Capital she worked in UMC Finance Division and has over 20 years of experience in cash management.
